Steve Davis says he has the experience and determination to turn things around again.
Steve Davis says the experience he has gained from the past two seasons will only help our chances of turning our season around. The Alex are currently bottom of the league and are five points from safety but Davis is remaining calm after going through similar during the last two campaigns.
After previous slow starts to the season, the Alex boss and his staff have guided the Railwaymen to safety and although he has been frustrated by the results thus far, he has been encouraged by the majority of the performances.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “When you look at the history of football at any club you will see that there is always a periods of high and lows. There is nothing smooth about being involved in football either as a supporter or employee.
“We have had some highs and some lows and not it is up to us to get out of this low as quickly as we can. You do that by sticking together and that is what we have done over the past two seasons when people were quick to write us off.
“What I have learned over the last two seasons is to remain calm and strong. What the players don’t need is panic and doubt. They know that as their manager I believe in them and I trust them. They know I am behind them even if they make some mistakes on the pitch.
“When we make mistakes, we try and rectify things together as a group and that is what we will continue to do.”
