Davis Progressing Well From Knee Injury

30 October 2015

Harry Davis begins to build up strength around his knee.

Club Captain Harry Davis has stepped up his rehabilitation and has begun rebuilding the muscle strength around his injured knee. Davis has not featured since suffering a knee injury during Crewe Alexandra’s 1-1 draw at Walsall back in September.

Davis has been working hard in the club's hydro-pool facility at the training ground and he is on schedule for a return to action in around another month. It would be a bonus heading into the busy Christmas and New Year period to have one of our most experienced players fit and available for the second half of the campaign.

Manager Steve Davis told crewealex.net: “Harry is progressing well and he is getting that strength back in relation to the knee. He has been working morning and afternoon with the medical staff and he remains very much on schedule.

Steve added: “He will be hoping to get before his initial 6-8 weeks target because that is the type of player he is, but we will be cautious with him and make sure he is 100% ready to come back into it. He is on track though and it has happened a lot this season that we have lost key players in key positions when they have been doing well.”
