Crewe boss pleased with Eastleigh home tie

Steve Davis is pleased that his Crewe Alexandra side have been drawn at home in the first round of the FA Cup. The Railwaymen have been drawn against Conference side Eastleigh, who have recently appointed Chris Todd as their manager on October 15th.

November and the Crewe boss is looking forward to the encounter when it comes around. thThe tie will take place at Gresty Road on Saturday 7

He told crewealex.net: “I think it is a good draw and one we can look forward to. There is something always special about the FA Cup and it is nice to have a home draw.

“You cannot ask for too much more than that, to be drawn at home and not get a Football League club.

“Eastleigh are doing well and have some experienced players, so it will be a test for us but one we can look forward to. We want to progress in the competition and have a bit of a run for ourselves and the fans.

“We will have them watched and will have clips of them. We will prepare as normal but our focus at the moment is very much Sheffield United this weekend.”
