Boss says he is considering different options in the final third.
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says he could ‘shake things up’ at Burton Albion this evening to make us more of a threat going forward. Davis says that he has options in his squad if he elects to change his front two or three this evening.
The likes of Callum Ainley, Callum Saunders, George Cooper, Marcus Haber and the on-loan Harry Wilson are all waiting for their chance to shine again in the first team.
With Lauri Dalla Valle certainly ruled out with a back problem, there is at least one place up front up for grabs at the Pirelli Stadium.
Ahead of tonight’s meeting with third placed Burton, Steve said: “I do have other options in the squad and it may be time to give one or two others a go. I could look at doing things slightly differently and give some others a chance.
“I have George, Marcus and young Harry Wilson waiting for a chance and then we have the younger ones, Callum Saunders and Callum Ainley.
“With Lauri our injured there is a space there for someone. It is unfortunate for Lauri but it opens the door for someone else.
The boss added: “Brad deserves his place in the team but I could make one or two changes to shake things up a bit. We’ll have to wait and see.”
