Club Remain Hopeful On Inman Injury

Inman looks to have avoided serious injury after Blackpool horror tackle

Crewe Alexandra remain hopeful that Brad Inman has not suffered a fracture of the foot after he was on the receiving end of what manager Steve Davis described as a 'disgraceful tackle' on Saturday.

David Norris’ reckless two-footed challenge on Inman occurred in stoppage time and saw the Blackpool midfielder cautioned - but Davis said the punishment should have seen him red carded for the offence. The former Newcastle youngster managed to jump the brunt of the tackle thus avoiding a serious injury.

Inman was on crutches after the 2-0 defeat at Bloomfield Road and a couple of days afterwards but he is now off them and trying to apply pressure onto the foot.

Inman, who has scored three goals this season, is unlikely to feature against Sheffield United on Saturday.
