Blackpool Organised Under McDonald

23 October 2015

Alex boss says Neil McDonald is beginning to stamp his authority on his team.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is expecting another tough encounter at Blackpool this weekend. A victory at Bloomfield Road would see the Railwaymen leap frog over the Seasiders at the bottom of League One but Davis has been impressed with the way Neil McDonald has organised his side.

Blackpool are unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions and Crewe boss Davis says his side will have to match the work load of the home side.

Ahead of our trip to Bloomfield Road, Steve told crewealex.net: “Blackpool are on a decent little run and have not lost in the last five games. They will gain confidence from not losing games.

“I’ve seen them and I’ve seen them on DVD as well. They are well organised and methodical under Neil (McDonald). He has worked hard on shape and they work hard as a team.

“Neil will be working hard to turn things around and it will be another tough game for us. They are all a challenge in this league but we have shown that if we apply ourselves and perform, we can be a match for everyone on our day.

“It should be a good game. I have only been to Bloomfield Road a few times in my career, so I am looking forward to going back there as a manager.”
