Valiant display but Morris' side lose out in second round
Crewe Alexandra Under 21's were knocked out of the FA U21 Premier League Cup by going down 2-1 to Hull City at North Ferriby United FC.Alex Morris had high hopes of progression having beaten of progression to the third round having beaten Doncaster Rovers 3-2 in the first stage at Gresty Road.
Hull City fielded fit-again Robert Snodgrass in their starting line-up and he provided the cross for Calaum Jahraldo-Martin to convert in the first half.
Sone Aluko slotted home a penalty after the break to put the hosts in control, but Crewe's Man of the Match George Cooper fired in a 76th minute life-line.
The Alex continued to press in search of a leveler but the Tigers hung on to progress.
