Saunders brace gets 21's back to winning ways
Crewe Alexandra Under 21's returned to winning ways for the first time in ten league games after a Callum Saunders brace at Leeds United.
A Saunders strike either side of half-time was enough for Morris' side to pick-up the points despite a late fight-back from the hosts.
Leeds started the game on top and forced Kieran Harrison into two smart saves, but the game changed on the half-hour mark when The Alex were awarded a penalty.
The Whites keeper saved Saunders' spot-kick, but Callum reacted quickest to tuck in the rebound.
Into the second half and a rejuvenated Crewe doubled their advantage on 53 minutes, Saunders grabbing his second of the game finishing low into the corner.
Leeds pressed during the final half hour and forced Harrison into a number of good saves, but The Alex stood firm to secure the points.
