Saunders Makes First Wales Appearance

Callum, Harry & Marcus Unbeaten Over International Weekend

Crewe Alexandra's 20-year-old striker Callum Saunders made his debut for the Wales Under 21 side as an 87th minute substitute in their 1-1 European Championship Qualifying draw with Romania in Wrexham.

On loan Liverpool lad Harry Wilson started the same game and was replaced just after half-time. Wilson scored a 91st minute winner of Friday as Wales edged out Armenia 2-1 in Bangor in another qualification match.

Canada continued their quest for 2018 Russia World Cup Qualification in fine fashion over the weekend, making an unbeaten start to the group phase over two games.

Marcus Haber came on as a 73rd minute substitute on Friday in their 1-0 victory over Honduras in Vancouver, and was an unused sub last night in a hard-fought 0-0 draw in El Salvador.

All three will now return to Crewe and could be in contention for Saturday's clash with Peterborough at The Alexandra Stadium.
