The 37-year-old returns to The Alex after scoring 17 goals in 74 appearances over two seasons from 2006-2008.

Lowe scored 11 in 38 for Bury last season in their promotion from League Two, but an injury hampered his early season progress this time around, and he has since found it hard to dislodge in-form Tom Pope & Leon Clarke from the team.

He is available for the trip to Colchester tomorrow night and will wear the number seven shirt during his stay.
