Young winger hoping to avoid surgery after suffering groin injury in Cheshire Senior Cup tie.

Youngster Liam O’Neill is set to see a specialist after suffering a groin strain playing in the Cheshire Senior Cup against Witton Albion.

The winger, who scored in the club’s 5-0 win over our local neighbours’ was forced off with the injury in the second half and unfortunately the injury has not settled down enough.

O’Neill will see a specialist to determine whether he will need surgery or not. O’Neill is yet to make a first team appearance after signing professional terms in the summer.
