Lowe: "It's Been A Sensational 48 Hours"

25 November 2015

New loan signing Ryan Lowe on his wonderful second debut for the club.

Ryan Lowe described the last 48 hours in his football life as ‘sensational’ as just hours after re-signing for Crewe Alexandra on loan, his arrival as a second half substitute at Colchester United inspired the Railwaymen to a terrific comeback after trailing 2-0 just after half time. Lowe’s arrival for Harry Wilson and a switch to 4-4-2 and then a diamond with Ryan Colclough in fine from, seemed to ignite Crewe to another level in the final 30 minutes.

After completing a one-month loan switch from his parent club Bury, Lowe created the equaliser for Marcus Haber before hitting a sensational winner himself in injury. Only Lowe would have come off the bench and finished a chance like that from all of 30 yards out.

Strangely it seemed written in the stars for him to mark his second debut for the club with a huge bang.

career goal for the Alex, Lowe told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “It’s been a long time coming if I’m honest. With my injury and what’s happened at Bury this season, you do have those doubts that you won’t get back to do it.thAfter scoring his 195

“I am fortunate to have a really good family and set of friends behind me and I knew I could get back playing again at this level. Crewe have given me that chance and I just want to come here and help the club. I want to help the young lads and help Steve and James and everyone because they don’t want to be at the bottom of the league.

“If I can pass my experience on to some of the younger lads and guide them on and off the pitch then that I’m sure that will help them. They just have to believe in themselves a bit more because the talent and the ability is there. It is just about confidence.

He added: “It has just been a sensational 48 hours really. To be 2-0 down and to come back and win the game in the final minute is a dream debut if you like. It isn’t about me or my goal, it’s about the team and us working hard to get those three points for everyone associated with the club. I was just made up for everyone and now we have to take that into Saturday’s home game against Oldham. “
