Crewe 1-1 Bolton

2 November 2015

Wintle on target in U-21 draw at Gresty Road.

Subs: Harrison, Brown, Finney, Kirk, Quinn

Crewe: Nizic, Baillie, Bakayoko, Bingham, Kearns, NG, Howell, Wintle, Dalla Valle, Ainley, Cooper

Another bonus for the Alex was the fact that midfielder Billy Bingham completed his first 45 minutes after recovering from his hamstring injury. Bingham was replaced young Finney at the interval.

Callum Ainley nearly produced a winning goal after he had wriggled free but the Bolton goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons pulled off a wonderful save to deny him. A fit again Lauri Dalle Valle also had a chance to break the deadlock but he curled his effort wide of the mark after cutting back inside.

Wintle fired Crewe into the lead just after the hour mark after substitute Ollie Finney had dummied a George Cooper to allow him to strike into the opposite corner.

Ryan Wintle executed a well worked corner routine to put Crewe Alexandra ahead in our latest Under-21 fixture played at the Alexandra Stadium but Bolton Wanderers earned a share of spoils after Jamie Thomas poked home a corner from close range.
