Jamie Ness trains today ahead of crucial last day
Jamie Ness will train with us today ahead of Sunday’s final game of the season against Bradford City. The on-loan Stoke City midfielder has missed the club’s last three games after aggravating his calf against Leyton Orient. Ness was withdrawn at half-time during that home game against Orient and has been receiving treatment back at his parent club.
Ness has returned to the club’s Reaseheath training complex today and is set to participate in the afternoon session.
Steve Davis says he has been encouraged by the news that Ness may be able to play a play this Sunday.
The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “Jamie has returned to us to train and we will see how he is over the next two days. He will train with us today and we will assess his injury and how he is.
“It will depend how he does before we would consider him for Sunday. We know all about what he has bought us in terms of ability. He can create and score goals and can pick a pass. He has been important to us and we will give him the best chance we possibly can to be involved.
“We will just have to see if he is right or not.”
