Young attacker signs pro terms after impressive graduating year

Crewe Alexandra have handed young winger Liam O'Neill a first professional contract after an impressive second season during his scholarship.

O'Neill has put pen-to-paper on a one-year-deal, with an option for a further year in the Club's favour.

The 18-year-old made a stellar impact in the U18's run to the FA Youth Cup Quarter Finals this season, notching four goals along the way including the first in the 3-2 victory at Arsenal.

O'Neill will now join fellow graduate Joe Kearns in Steve Davis' first team squad next season after the defender signed his deal last week.
