Crewe Alexandra delighted as young midfielder becomes the latest to sign pro deal

The 18-year-old midfielder was a regular for Alex Morris' Under-18 side this season and stepped up to the Under-21s on numerous occasions to enhance his progression. Howell was also a part of the successful Youth Cup side but he suffered an ankle injury against Fulham which prematurely ended his involvement in the competition.  

Crewe Alexandra is delighted to announce that promising youngster Joe Howell has become the latest Academy graduate to sign professional terms with the club. Howell, 18, has signed a one-year deal with a year option and follows his fellow team mates Andre Brown, Joe Kearns and Liam O'Neill in signing for the club.
