Ollie Turton and Jon Guthrie offered new and improved deals after one-year options extended.
Steve Davis is confident that Oliver Turton and Jon Guthrie will agree to extend their stay at the Alexandra Stadium. At the conclusion of the season, the club exercised the right to implement the one-year extension on their current contracts, but the boss would like to reward them for their progress with a new and improved contract.
Both defenders are currently away on holiday and the Crewe boss remains confident that both youngsters will commit their futures to the Football Club.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Jon and Ollie have gone away on holiday and I’m sure they will be thinking over their offer of an extension. We want them to stay and commit their future to the club and I’m sure it will be fairly straight forward with them.
“They have played a number of games now for the first team and when they return to the closed season training, I’m sure we will have a chat. We haven’t put a date on any decision as such but it is important to us to know that they are committing their futures to the club beyond next season.”
