Chairman John Bowler delighted that Alexandra Stadium was chosen to host friendly this weekend.
Crewe Alexandra chairman John Bowler has told the club’s official web-site that he is delighted that the Alexandra Stadium has been chosen to host tomorrow’s full International between Northern Ireland and Qatar. The match has been arranged as part of Northern Ireland’s preparation for their Euro 2016 qualifying match against Romania next month.
Ahead of tomorrow’s 5pm kick off at Gresty Road, the Crewe Alexandra chairman said: “We were delighted to be approached as a possible host venue for this International fixture.
“We were asked if we were interested and having previously hosted some England matches and the Women’s Community Shield Final, we were only to be pleased to be considered.
“Everyone at the club was pleased that our Stadium was deemed good enough to host a full international fixture between Northern Ireland and Qatar. It is a great honour and something for the local community to come and enjoy.
“It should be a good occasion a chance to see some Premier League players at our stadium.”
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and concessions and £1 for juniors. Supporters are reminded that kick is 5pm tomorrow.
