Bradford Won't Be Handing Out Favours

Boss way of Bradford threat as they aim to finish season on a high note

Steve Davis says his side will have to be at the top of their game to defeat Phil Parkinson’s Bradford City side this weekend. The Railwaymen need at least a point to secure their League One status, but Davis say he and his players will be focussed on winning the game and not worrying about results elsewhere.

. They are competing with Rochdale for that spot. thThe Alex boss has been saying all week that he aims to win the game and make sure we complete the job ourselves and he knows that the Bantams will be aiming to come to Crewe to finish the season on a high note and maybe finish 7

Ahead of this Sunday’s early kick off at Gresty Road, Steve told us: “Bradford are a very good side and they will be coming here aiming to finish as high as they possibly can. They have had a decent season and it could be that they finish just outside the play-offs. They have had more success in the cups, especially winning at Chelsea, so we know they are a tough opponent.

“I know Phil well and he will be wanting his players to finish the season as high as possible. They have nothing to lose really and that takes the pressure on them. They can come to Crewe and do whatever they want to do.

“They have played differently in the last few games so we won’t totally know what they are doing until we see the team-sheet, but we know that whoever they select will be a difficult game.

Steve added: “I’ve already said this week and I know Bradford won’t be coming here to do us favours.”
