Boss has had to plan around two Under-21 games this week
Steve Davis says it has been a week of planning as Crewe Alexandra’s Under-21 are set to play both tonight against QPR at Gresty Road and then travel to London to face Millwall on Friday. A number of the club’s Development Squad players are then likely to be named on the substitutes’ bench for the weekend trip to Sheffield United.
The club’s Under-18s also travel to Suffolk on Friday to face Ipswich Town this weekend and Davis admits it has been tough to juggle the personal around.
Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “We have a few fixtures to fulfil this week with the Under-21s playing twice and having to travel to London and back on Friday but it is something we have to contend with. The Under-18s also have a game at Ipswich this weekend so they are travelling on Friday as well.
“It has to be a bit of juggling act for us with the squad but that is something we have to cope with, with the demands of the Under-21 league.
“It has taken some planning to see who is available and who we will need to come with us to Sheffield. It is not an ideal situation. “
