Colclough and other fringe players aiming to impress for the club's Under-21s against QPR tonight

Ryan Colclough is to feature for the club’s Under-21s against Queens Park Rangers as he steps up his return from a long-term injury. The talented winger successfully completed his first 90 minutes away at Charlton Athletic last week, as he continues his progression after missing 15 months with a hip and hernia problem.

Colclough has featured in four development games now, if you include the hour he accomplished away at Macclesfield in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

A fit Colclough would be a huge bonus in the decisive run-in and if he can come through this evenings’ game then he could play himself back in contention for this weekend’s trip to Sheffield United.

 The likes of Lauri Dalla Valle, Chris Atkinson, Liam Nolan and Callum Saunders are all expected to feature this evening. Kick-off is 7pm at the Alexandra Stadium and entry is free.
