Neil Baker says club will see the best of a fit and ready LDV.
Neil Baker says that the club will see the best of Lauri Dalla Valle this coming season. The club’s assistant manager has already stated that the Finnish striker will hit double figures and everyone has been impressed with LDV’s attitude to improve since he returned on a permanent basis.
Lauri Dalla Valle, 23, overcame a slight injury last season to end the season in form with four goals in his last eight appearances to help the Railwaymen stay up.
Baker told the club’s official web-site: “I don’t think we’ll be able to sign any more strikers because we still have Marcus, Lauri, George Cooper and hopefully Ryan if he signs. We also have the younger ones Fraser Murdoch and Callum Saunders to consider.
“There won’t be much movement in that department.
“Lauri is a terrific guy around the place, a super guy to work with. He was a highly rated player, particularly at Liverpool and Fulham and it hasn’t quite worked out for him.
“He maybe set his sights too high but he’s come to a level that he’s comfortable with and we knew what we were getting from him when we signed him.
Bakes added: “He is a good player and a terrific finisher. If we can provide the ammunition as he proved at the end of the season then we will score goals.”
