Scott Shearer signs for Mansfield following his release from Crewe.

Scott Shearer has signed for Mansfield Town following his release from Crewe Alexandra. The 34-year-old has signed on the same day as the vastly experienced Brian Jensen 40, with the former Burnley goalkeeper also taking up coaching duties.

He made one substitute appearance for the Brewers as they secured promotion from League Two as champions.  Shearer made three appearances for Crewe last season but after finding it difficult to claim the number one spot ahead of Ben Garratt, he moved to Burton Albion on loan until the end of the season.
