Questionaire Feedback

12 June 2015

Give us your opinion to enter our draw to win an away shirt.

Everyone at Crewe Alexandra would like to thank all the supporters who took the time to response to our request in trying to improve their match day experience. Your ideas and opinions have been gratefully received and will continue to be discussed in readiness for the new season.

.rwilson@crewealex.netWe would like to congratulate Crewe fan Sonia Wells who was the winner of our random draw to win a new home shirt. Her response was drawn out of the replies. We will be doing the same when the new away shirt is released so if you would like to give us your opinion on how to improve your match day experience then please email

All those who have already submitted their responses will be re-entered into a draw to win a new away shirt.

We have also collated some data in relation to the improved attendance against Bradford City on the final day of the season especially in the Gresty Road End of the Stadium that provides some encouraging signs. Of course, the magnitude of the game was a major factor as well as a reduction in cost on match tickets for that area of the ground.

If that level of attendance would reoccur for a ‘normal fixture’ without perhaps so much resting on the game is the debate we will continue to have.

Encouragingly, I can inform our supporters that 113 supporters in the Gresty Road End attended that game and none other this season. Of those, only 7 were former season ticket holders. We also had 39 supporters who were completely new to our data-base and by our records had never set foot in the Alexandra Stadium before, so that is fantastic.

We were also buoyed by the number of season ticket holders and members purchasing tickets for family and friends. From our responses we are pleased that our fans regard our season ticket pricing as reasonable when compared to other Football League clubs.

Crewe Alexandra will be assessing ways to entice lapsed supporters back to the football club, as well as younger fans and families. One of those stumbling blocks could come down to cost and it is something we will look at going forward in terms of local promotions and making live football more accessible for a greater number of the community.

Don’t forget that if you want to be placed in the draw to win a new away shirt then please email your view to rwilson@crewealex.net.All those who have already submitted their ideas will be entered again for the second draw.
