Crewe boss Steve Davis hoping defenders will extend their deal after year option excerised.
Steve Davis is hoping that defenders Ollie Turton and Jon Guthrie will sign new and improved contracts as reward for their progress over the last 18 months. The club have exercised their right to extend their option for a further year, seeing them through to the summer of 2016 but the Alex boss wants to supersede that with a new and improved deal.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Jon and Ollie are both in contract for another year. The club have exercised their option so they will be us for next season at least but we wanted to offer them a new and improved contract as a reward for their progress.
“We have offered them an extra year and some more money and we hope that they will agree to it, but it is not a problem at the moment.”
