Former Alex midfielder joins our local neighbours on two-year deal

The former Southend and Stevenage player was a former trainee under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea and has amassed 377 career appearances

The former Crewe Alexandra midfielder Anthony Grant has joined our near neighbours Port Vale on a two-year contract. The 28-year-old has moved to Vale Park after not being offered a fresh deal at Crewe at the end of the season. Grant made 91 appearances for Crewe, scoring five goals during his two seasons with us. .

Grant could make a quick return to Gresty Road as Crewe host Port Vale on the opening day of the season on 8th August.
