Steve Davis says he has spoken to Ryan Colclough and remains hopeful that winger will re-sign
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says he spoke to Ryan Colclough last week and was encouraged that the talented winger was talking positivity about remaining with the Railwaymen.
Davis is hopeful that the 20-year-old forward will continue his development with us and become a key player for us next season. After overcoming a long term hip injury, Colclough ended the season in good form, scoring two crucial goals in the run-in against Sheffield United and Coventry City.
“We are still waiting either way on Ryan but we remain hopeful that something can be sorted out soon, ‘says Steve.
“I spoke to Ryan last week when he was in training in the gym and it was all positive about him staying. I’m sure those talks with his agent will continue and all we can do is encourage him to stay.
He added: “We want him to continue his development with us and all we can do at the moment is see what happens.”
