Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has continued to stress the importance of the supporters at the Alexandra Stadium and what a difference they make to the players. The Alex boss encouraged the fans to come out in their numbers for the final day of the season and how the local community and beyond responded.

The club achieved their highest attendance since 2006 for a competitive fixture and although we didn’t quite manage to obtain the result we needed to complete the job ourselves, a day of high drama saw the Railwaymen survive on 52 points.
