Steve says improvement in recruitment will help reshape playing style
Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he is pleased to have secured three of his midfield targets this summer. The Alex boss has added Billy Bingham and David Fox on permanent deals and has secured the services of the highly-rated Swansea youngster Adam King on loan until January.
The Crewe boss and his staff have made a concerted effort to change the midfield personnel this summer, in the hope that we will retain possession and play better football.
Steve said: “I think the recruitment has been good so far. We devised a list before the end of the season and I’m pleased that we have been able to bring three in from that list. We have had to be patient and we have missed out on one or two but I think we have brought better quality in.
“I think we have been able to bring in better midfield players than we had last season and they will make a difference to the way we will try and play. They all want to get on the ball and play and their attitude and approach to training has been very good.
“I’ve been pleased with what we have been able to do so far and we have identified some good players. We did that last season but they didn’t quite fall for us. You need a bit of luck with that and this summer our hard work has paid off. “
