Inman has netted four times in the friendlies so far, notching in the 7-1 thrashing of Alsager before a further strike in the behind-closed-doors victory over Blackburn and then a well-taken double at Altricham on Friday night.

But it’s not just the games Brad’s impressed in, the boss has seen an improvement from his Aussie ace on the training pitch too.

Steve told the press: “I just hope he can carry it on. He's working really hard in training but I think we just don't need to get carried away with him, or with any of them.

“He needs to show what did at Altrincham on a regular basis, week in week out, in the games. It's something we know he can do, he's just wasn’t able to do it last season.

“He's done as much as he can pre-season to suggest there's something there and we can persevere with.”
