Steve Davis pleased to have secured two of his summer targets.

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that his patient attitude has paid off with the double signing of midfielders Billy Bingham and Adam King. The two central midfielders will certainly add competition to the Alex engine room with Davis not ruling out a move for another in that particular position.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We wanted to get that balance right and we are delighted to have the two lads with us. I am looking forward to working with them and fitting them into our system.

“I am pleased to get the deals down because you never know what might happen until they actually sign. You are never totally sure if they will happen or not.

“I am pleased that our patience has paid off. They have been targeted for a long time and have been on our list. We spoke to Billy way back in May and had him up here to have a look around. We were aware of Adam’s ability for a long time and have tracked his progress in Swansea’s Under-21s, they have some talented lads in the group.

The boss added: “There has been a lot of work gone into getting these two over the line and sometimes you are a bit unfortunate and it doesn’t happen and this time we have been a bit more fortunate.”
