The former Dagenham & Redbridge man joined the Alex earlier this pre-season and has caught the eye of the gaffer in the friendly schedule, including Sunday’s 4-1 win at Nantwich Town.

Steve told crewealex.net: “He’s slotted in very, very well. He’s been very good the way he’s responded to the work and responded to what we’re looking for from him. 

“There’s still work to do though. His fitness levels need to be higher and his sharpness, but he’s always trying to play. You could see that at Nantwich, moving the ball around very well and we knew what we were getting from him.

“He’s a player that enjoys getting on the ball and enjoys making things happen for the team and he’s ideal for us in one of those midfield roles.”
