Loan striker recalled by parent club ahead of move elsewhere
Crewe Alexandra’s loanee forward Uche Ikpeazu has been recalled by his parent club Watford with a view to him going elsewhere in the January transfer window.
February. ndIkpeazu, 19, had agreed to extend his stay at Crewe until the end of the season, but his loan agreement had a standard recall clause that could be implemented after 28 days. It is believed he will now be allowed to join another Football League club before the transfer deadline on 2
Ikpeazu had scored two goals in his eight appearances for the club during his second spell at Gresty Road against Doncaster and Gillingham.
The powerful striker was a popular part of the Crewe Alexandra side that escaped relegation to League Two on the final day of last season. He had scored four goals during a successful loan spell and created the winning goal for Mathias Pogba against Preston that provided the win we needed to safeguard our League One status.
