Anthony Stewart Completes Move To Crewe Alex

Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce the signing of defender Anthony Stewart on a deal until June 2015 after coming to an agreement with Wycombe Wanderers.

The 22-year-old left Wycombe in the summer, but signed a short-term deal with the Chairboys in December before joining the Alex on loan.

Stewart made a number of appearances for the Alex Under 21 side, and made two first team appearances. He came on as a sub in the Boxing Day victory over Oldham after George Ray was dismissed, and then impressed as he started in the draw against Preston North End.

Stewart made 65 appearances for Wycombe after rising through their youth ranks and links up with Crewe after a successful trial and then loan stint.
