Brad glad to be back on the road to recovery
Crewe Alexandra winger Brad Inman was among the travelling faithful at Port Vale last weekend and admits it was a nerve-wracking experience watching the derby amongst the 1,384 Alex supporters.Inman put the final nail in the coffin with the third goal in Crewe’s 3-1 at Vale Park last season, but he missed out this time after sustaining a back injury.
He told Crewe Alex Player: “I can see why it’s stressful being a fan but it was a good performance by the boys and always good to beat your local rivals.
“I had a lot of chats with the fans and I was with some of the other lads so it was a good day out for everyone really.”
The 23-year-old made a goal-scoring return in the Cheshire Senior Cup on Tuesday against 1874 Northwich FC having endured a difficult time with injury and illness.
Crewe have struggled with illness so far this season with a number of players suffering, but Inman says that’s just how things can go within a football club.
“I’ve had a tough last month with illness so I’m glad to have that fixed.
“I’ve been in hospital and then coming out I think I did a bit too much and sustained a back injury.
“I was gutted to miss the Port Vale game but the lads managed to win so that was a sweet victory."
