Anthony Grant and Harry Davis fit and available for Notts County clash
Anthony Grant and Harry Davis have been given the all-clear to train this week and will be named in the Crewe Alexandra squad that will be travelling to Nottingham tomorrow. This weekend’s encounter at Meadow Lane has come too soon for captain Matt Tootle, who remains hopeful of being involved against near neighbours Port Vale the week after.
Grant has been struggling with a slight hip flexor injury and admitted he felt some discomfort from the Gillingham game. Grant has successfully trained later in the week and is likely to retain his place.
Davis needed emergency surgery after losing one of his front teeth against the Gills. Davis has trained successfully without any problems.
Crewe Alexandra could also include goalkeeper Joe Anyon in his squad after he signed non-contract forms today. The staff will decide whether to include Anyon, who will be short of match sharpness following his release from Shrewsbury in the summer.
