Ikpeazu, 19, is in his second spell at the club and has become a huge hit with the Alex faithful. His performances and developing partnership with Nicky Ajose has certainly improved Crewe as an attacking force. The powerful striker notched his second goal of his loan to seal the points against Gillingham at the weekend.
Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “We have already made contact with Watford about Uche and we know he is keen to stay here. We will look to follow that up because he knows we would like him to stay for the rest of the season.
“I believe he is comfortable here. Everyone loves him and appreciates what he does for the team. He is popular with the fans and they have made him very welcome as well.
“In a way it is like his second home here. He hasn’t got his best mate Chuks (Aneke) here like last season but that doesn’t seem to have made any difference.
“He is a joy to work with. He has his little tantrums at times but that is only because he is so determined to do well. He is eager to learn, take things on board and I think he is improving all the time.
He added: “It is a win-win situation for everyone and he is enjoying his football.”
