Goalkeeper earns permanent deal with the Iron

Goalkeeper Joe Anyon has signed a permanent deal with Scunthorpe United until the end of the 2014/15 season.

The former Shrewsbury and Port Vale stopper had been on non-contract terms with Crewe Alexandra, but has opted to switch Glandford Park after being offered a full-time deal.

Anyon was set to make his Alex debut in the Cheshire Senior Cup last week before the fixture was postponed due to a frozen pitch and has now left the Alexandra Stadium without making an appearance.
