Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says there will be no dwelling on Saturday’s heavy defeat to MK Dons. Crewe were on the receiving end of a 5-0 defeat to Karl Robinson’s clinical Dons, but the Alex boss says his side will dust themselves off and prepare for an important game at Colchester this weekend.



The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “The younger players such as James Jones and Bails (James Baillie) would have learnt a great deal from Saturday. It will be a part of their development to play an opponent like that.



“It hurts to be beaten like that at home but we were up against a very good side for this level. What we have got to do is more on quickly. How I feel can rub off on the players so we will go through what we need to look at and prepare for Colchester.



“We are ready to go again. Our form has been decent of late and we have a chance to put things right at Colchester at the weekend. We will look for improvement but not dwell too much on the result.
