U21's lose out as Colclough makes long awaited return
Crewe Alexandra U21's suffered a 3-0 defeat at Reaseheath at the hands of a determined and well drilled Coventry City side.Blair Turgott struck twice for the visitors and George Thomas rounded off the scoring as the Alex were brushed aside in Ryan Colclough's comeback game.
The winger had been out for 15-months with a double hernia problem and last 45 minutes on his return before being replaced by Toby Mullarkey at the break with the score 2-0.
Crewe's best chance came at 0-0 when Callum Saunders was felled in the box. Brad Inman stepped up, but his spot-kick was saved by the Sky Blues goalkeeper.
Next up for Collins' U21's is a trip to Birmingham City on Monday (16th Feb).
