MK Dons Paper Review

2 February 2015

What the press made of the heavy defeat to The Dons

The Sentinel
MK Dons were too strong yet again for the Alex as they ran out comprehensive 5-0 winners at Gresty Road.
The Dons were 3-0 up at the break after a stunning first-half display which left the Alex shell-shocked.
Crewe improved in the second half but were never a match for their impressive opponents who could easily have managed more than the four they scored and match the 6-1 mauling they handed out at Stadium MK in September.

The Chronicle
CREWE Alex’s six-match unbeaten run at Gresty Road was obliterated by League One leaders MK Dons on Saturday.
A double from Devante Cole, and strikes from Dean Bowditch, Carl Baker and Daniel Powell, were the reward for a dominant display from the visitors.
The Buckinghamshire side were simply a class apart from the Railwaymen, and have now put 11 goals past them in two fixtures this season.
But Steve Davis’s men remain out of the drop zone, as they look ahead to a vital clash at fellow strugglers Colchester next weekend.

Milton Keynes Citizen
MK Dons climbed to the top of League 1 on Saturday with a convincing 5-0 win over Crewe Alexandra.
With Swindon dropping points away at Sheffield United, Dons took full advantage as Devante Cole scored a first half brace, sandwiching Dean Bowditch’s elegant lob. Carl Baker made it four with 18 minutes to go before Daniel Powell rattled home a fifth late in the day.
