Davis: "We Are Entering The Business End"

10 February 2015

Steve Davis says his team are well equipped to pull themselves away from the drop zone

Steve Davis remains confident that his Crewe Alexandra side can continue with their fairly consistent form and escape the drop into League Two.

“Going behind in a game shouldn't make much difference, we have the quality to come back. The group has been strong but they have lacked belief – after Saturday that should change.”

“We've added being harder to beat to our game, and for the first time we came from behind to win. I think that's shown in the growth and the character of the group.

“We need to put two halves of the season together and be more consistent, but now we have to focus on now. We have turned a corner, I think.

Ahead of our home encounter with the Glovers, Steve said: “This is when it matters, our second part of the season has always been strong - we need to work on the first part in the future.

The Alex boss says his team are entering the business end of the season and he has been delighted with the way his improving side has improved entering the second half of the season.

The Alex take on fellow strugglers Yeovil Town this evening and if we can follow on from our win at Colchester and claim another three points then we could stretch our advantage over the Glovers to seven points with a game in hand.
