Ryan Colclough believes that we are still equipped to escape the drop in the second half of the season.
Ryan Colclough believes that there is enough fight and character inside the Crewe Alexandra dressing room to move away from the relegation drop zone.
Colclough, who only recently turned 21, is in the best form of his young career and currently tops our scoring charts with 7 goals following his equalising goal against Shrewsbury on Monday. His form has certainly caught the eye and he is still hoping that his quality in the final third of the pitch will see Crewe Alexandra emerge out of the bottom four during the first month of 2016.
Crewe kick off the New Year with a tough home game against Coventry City on 2nd January and ahead of that intriguing encounter at Gresty Road, the Alex forward told us: “We need to be finishing off more of our chances if we want to get ourselves out of the relegation zone. There are still a lot of points to play for and everyone has to remain positive.
“We have to work hard and move forward. We have found enough fight and character to come through some difficult circumstances before and we have to do it again.
“Crewe is definitely not a League Two team and we all think we should be higher in the league than we are. We have to keep going, put in some good performances and make sure we manage games better to make sure we get something out of them.”
