Lunt's side back on track with landslide win
Crewe Alexandra Under 18’s recovered from their defeat to Birmingham City by blitzing Hull City 5-2 in Yorkshire.
Owen Dale was the star man, grabbing a hat-trick for Kenny Lunt’s side, with Charlie Kirk and first year Lewis Riley also on the score sheet.
It was a perfect response by the youngsters having lost to league rivals Birmingham and Coventry in the Youth Cup.
It was 3-0 to Crewe at half-time after a whirlwind opening period with Dale, Kirk and Riley all netting.
Dale grabbed his second just after half-time, but Hull pulled one back soon after. The striker then completed his hat-trick for 5-1 before The Tigers forced home a late consolation.
