U18’s Finish Year With Five Star Victory

Kenny Lunt’s Under 18 side capped off 2015 by netting five for the second time in two weeks in a rout of Barnsley at Reaseheath.

Crewe thumped Hull 5-2 the week previous, before running out 5-3 winners over The Tykes to move up to second in the league table for Christmas.

Hat-trick hero against Hull Owen Dale once again opened the scoring early on, heading past the helpless keeper.

And it was 4-0 by half-time, Tom Lowery, Callum Ainley and Charlie Kirk filling their boots to put Crewe in control.

By the hour mark it was five thanks to an own goal, before a loss of concentration in the final stages allowed Barnsley to grab three consolation goals – but it failed to take the shine off a terrific win.
