Fox Picks Up Ankle Knock

8 December 2015

Midfielder to be assessed after picking up slight ankle injury.

Crewe Alexandra will assess midfielder David Fox after he picked up a slight ankle knock in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United yesterday. Fox played for a scheduled hour at Reaseheath yesterday, but did suffer a slight injury which could put a possible recall to the first team squad in jeopardy.

Fox was returning from a back injury that he sustained away at Blackpool in October. He suffered a fracture of two bones in his lower back but has successfully overcome that particular injury to face both Leeds and Sheffield United in Development games.

The injury to the former Colchester player is not thought to be too serious and it is more likely to be severe bruising but he will be assessed fully later today.

Meanwhile, Brad Inman and Ryan Colclough came through training unscathed after their return to full training. Both were given time to recover from some knocks and muscle strains last week.
