Davis Progressing Well From Injury

13 August 2015

Club captain steps up his rehab after slight knee injury.

Club captain Harry Davis is stepping up his recovery from his knee injury but hasn’t been able to return to full training yet. Davis is progressing well and has begun jogging again with the club’s medical team but he is not fit to train with the first-team squad after suffering the set-back just ahead of the season.

The experienced centre-half is expected to re-join first-team training sometime next week if he passes the club’s requited fitness test.

Crewe will be without midfielder James Jones for this weekend’s trip to Scunthorpe United. Jones underwent shoulder surgery after dislocating it for a third time at Alsager Town in pre-season.

Everyone else came through last night’s League Cup defeat to Preston North End unscathed are currently available for the trip to Glanford Park.
