Crewe captain steps up fitness in training.

Crewe Alexandra have been handed a boost with the news that club Captain Harry Davis is to step up his return from a slight knee injury. Davis, 22, has missed the beginning of the season after picking up the slight injury on the eve of the new season during a training session.

The centre-half with 168 appearances to his name is aiming to step up his request for fitness after coming through the necessary testing.

Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Harry is progress every day and will be training with us. Then it is just a question of getting that fitness and sharpness up so he is ready for some games.”

“It is just a question of time in regards to James Jones and Perry Ng. We cannot rush them back and both of them are working hard.

“Fraser (Murdoch) is also hoping to return to training soon, so the treatment room doesn’t look too bad at the moment.”
