Ryan pleased that his future has been resolved and he can get back playing.
Ryan Colclough has told Crewe Alex PlayerHD that he 'just can’t wait to get back playing football again'. The talented wide man has signed a new two-year deal with the club and is fit and available for selection ahead of this weekend’s home game against Port Vale.
Colclough, who finished last season strongly after overcoming a long standing hip injury, exclusively told us: “It has been a long process, but I am just glad that everything is sorted out now and I can’t wait to get back playing again and helping the team.
“If I can have a run of games and score and create goals then I’m sure we will have a better season.
“The main thing for me was to have everything sorted for the start of the season and I just want to get back playing football again with the boys. The squad looks better, fitter and stronger and I think we will do better this season.
I’ve been in almost every day over the pre-season so I haven’t missed much and I am fit and available. I managed to get some game time in the first two friendly games and my fitness test scores have been good.
“I’m sure once I get some games under my belt that my match fitness will be back and it is always busy at the start of the season with Saturday and mid-week matches.
“I am just looking forward and my aim is to stay fit and play as many games as I can. When the gaffer needs me, I am ready to go back in and do my best for the team and hopefully I can do enough to be considered for the Port Vale game this weekend.
He added: “The Port Vale game is always a massive one and it would be nice to involved in a game like that and also to see some old faces as well.”
