Tate Ruled Out For Remaining Games

17 April 2015

Crewe dealt blow as experienced defender Alan Tate ruled out with ankle injury

On-loan defender Alan Tate will not play again this season after suffering micro-fractures in his ankle against Peterborough United on Tuesday evening. Tate slipped on the surface, going over on his ankle just after the half an hour mark and was immediately replaced by Jon Guthrie.

Tate is in a supportive boot but the injury is not as bad as first feared and he has a recovery time of 4-6 weeks. It will rule him out for the remaining three matches of the season but will allow him to get a pre-season under his belt.
